Happy 2016!

Wow! 2 years!! It's been way too long. I am back & my intent for this new year is twofold. First is to knit from stash. NO yarn purchases (exception - yarn festivals i.e Rhinebeck) and "possibly" 1 sweater project - Cocktail (Jumper) by LaMaisonRililie. I simply can no longer justify buying more yarn when I literally own hundreds of skeins, all of which are quite fab! Secondly, posting WIPs and FOs here. I want a visual accountability of projects - good, bad or indifferent. Be back soon with a pic of my current WIP (one of tons)!

I found the cure!

Finally a cure for my CSSS Chronic Second Sock Syndrome! Knitting two socks at a time!! I've avoided casting on two because it seems the majority of bloggers, podcasters & knitters don't care for this method. I, on the other hand, have close to a dozen 1st socks (either complete or on the sticks) that are mate-less. And unfortunately I am not a mixy matchy kinda person. These may take me a bit longer, but in the end I will FINALLY have a pair of matching socks that are complete the moment they are cast off :)

My first trip to Rhinebeck ! What a beautiful day & what an amazing group of people. Seeing hundreds of people walking around in their hand knits was so inspiring! I want to knit ALL THE THINGS!

I got to meet knitting royalty :) Wendy, Diane and Aimee
Each one gracious and friendly being interrupted by a starstruck groupie.
Best of all Amy Herzog soooo generously took the time to take my measurements (along with many others)! I cannot wait to cast on my first Custom Fit sweater! I am soooo looking forward to her class in December.
I ordered a Rhinebeck 2013 mug from Jennie the Potter!
And purchased beautiful yarn from Miss Babs (for a color affection)  and Fiber Optic (for my custom fit sweater).
There was wine tasting and wine purchasing. What a way to spend a beautiful autumn day!
