There Coming To Take Me Away Ha Ha!

I really must be MAD! No not angry....NUTS! It's like I'm an addict and I can't get enough. I read all these fabulous blogs and see these incredible projects and it keeps like playin' in the back of my head until I have it on sticks of my own. Just when I get my fix....another flashes in my mind's eye and I gotta have it.....The 1st installment in my mitered queen-sized coverlet arrived today! I know I will not be able to rest until I have 1 more project in my possession. 1-wrap by Alice Starmore... I'm thinkin' Persian Tiles http://www.virtualyarns.com/scripts/showitem.asp?ID=67 Anyone interested in a KAL?
The brown you see here has been layin' around for about a year. It will be a felted bag. I am not a big fan of felting or felted bags but still felt the need... go figure!

Oops I did it again!

Did someone say diet? What diet? OHHHHHH that diet, well let's just say....
i am a failure~i am a failure~i am a failure~i am a failure~i am a failure Weight? NO! Not weight! (although I do have exactly 30lbs to lose). Not this week anyway. Its YARN! I admit it I am guilty as charged. No, I'm not talking about the abso-friggin'-loutly fantabulous yarn I got in the mail yesterday from Blue Mountain Fiber Arts in my "socks that rock" club package. I'm talking about the 12 skeins of yarn I ordered last night from http://www.elann.com/ to begin work on my Queen-sized mitered coverlet! Thanks http://www.januaryone.com/ and http://www.masondixonknitting.com/ for the inspiration!AND I am also getting ready to place an order at http://www.virtualyarns.com/ because two of the most incredibly talented knitters http://woolyewe.blogspot.com/ and http://www.theraineysisters.com/ have instilled in me an unexplainable need to knit an Al*&e Starmo@# original! Oh it feels so good to be bad!

A Swift Decision

I need to buy a swift. I simply cannot deal with one more tangled mess. I'm calling all knitters to offer opinions on the best type and price, they seem to be in the $60-$70ish price range. Anyhooo
your expertise would be greatly appreciated.

Resourceful

Only a knitter can make a trip to the local library almost as productive as a trip to the local yarn shop!

YOU WANT WHAT???!!!

Is there a possibility that this child of mine, who I love with all my heart & soul, is an imposter who was switched at birth?! It must be. That's the only explanation for the UNBELIEVABE, UNIMAGINABLE request that she made when I asked her if she'd like me to lovingly knit her a pair of socks with my very own hands.
She said sure Mom, but don't make them long like yours. Make them....
are you ready??
make them....
NO SHOW SOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you hear that? No show socks. Now why in Gods green earth would I painstakingly take the time and energy to knit her a pair of socks THAT DON'T SHOW?
Switched at birth I tell ya.

See the stubby sock? and it's still too long she says.... so she'll just ROLL THEM OVER SO THEY DON'T SHOW!
Meantime below are the 1st pair I'm making for the hubbo. The colorway is similar to Dallas Cowboy colors, which will make him happy.

And here we have yet ANOTHER purchase! This one from http://www.theloopyewe.com Ain't it just? Lorna's Lace & some SOAK.
Now.... I'm off to check my daughter's DNA!

The Only Good Thing...

The only good thing about coming home from a wonderfully fantabulous vacation in paradise is walking in to the love bug anxiously awaiting our arrival!

Also awaiting my return... the books I ordered on Amazon. I am IN LOVE with the Katharine Hepburn Cardigan. And am in love with both colors CITRUS ORANGE and CHERRY RED. Hmmm... any opinions?

You may have also noticed the 1,000 Lowfat Recipes cookbook. Well, unfortunately that is a necessity as vacation has a way of making the wide ass wider. Obviously I will not be knitting the cropped version of this cardi anytime soon.!
